Having worked as a pastry chef in a restaurant for five years, I have enjoyed making cheesecakes, breads, pies, and other pastries. My cinnamon rolls were a staple in a local coffee house for years. Even the baker at home can do amazing things in the kitchen by manipulating the premixed cake and brownie mixes. Brownies can be made into fluffier cakes by the addition of one or two extra eggs.
White and yellow cake batters can be enhanced by adding flavorings, extracts, nuts, and/or fruits. I find it fun to get in the kitchen from time to time and bake new things utilizing new types of flours, sugars, and ingredients. Making individual desserts such as individual Pineapple Upsidedown Cakes or Homegrown Moon-pies is something that your friends and family will love.
