Teriyaki Pork Tenderloins


Pork tenderloin (approximately 1/4 lb. per adult)
Teriyaki sauce, bottled or use recipe below


1 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. sugar (fresh pineapple juice may be substituted for authentic Japanese cuisine flavor)
1/4 c. mirin
1/4 c. salad oil
1 clove garlic, minced or 1 tsp. garlic, granulated (optional, not traditional in Japanese cuisine)

Mix the following. Marinade pork tenderloin overnight in marinade (or 4 or more hours during the day). Slice medallions about an inch thick. In saute pan heat a small amount of cooking oil and sear meat on all sides. Bake meat in 350° degrees oven for 15-20 minutes, or barbecue slowly for 15 – 20 minutes.
